From Alberto Ascari’s pale blue skull cap to Ayrton Senna’s iconic bright yellow lid, the race helmet has long been a driver’s most recognisable feature – and now Mercedes star Valtteri Bottas is giving fans the chance to design his.
The winning helmet livery, which will be hand-picked by the Finnish driver himself, will be Bottas’s primary design for the 2018 season, used at the majority of races.
Better yet, the winner of the competition – which follows similar contests by Lewis Hamilton in 2017 and Jenson Button in 2016 - will receive a replica of their helmet design, personally signed by the three-time Grand Prix winner.
Details of how to enter the competition can be found by clicking here.
